CLASSES WE OFFER
TUMBLE BUGS and KINDER BUGS
Ages 2-5 years
Preschool Tumble Bug classes are designed for young children to develop their listening, directional, and large motor skills. Beginner level Trampoline, Tumbling, Balance Beam and Bar skills are introduced at this level. *Baby Bug classes for 2 year olds are a parent participation class.
INTERMEDIATE 1 & 2 TRAMPOLINE AND TUMBLING
Ages 6 and up
Intermediate classes focus on bridge kickovers, roundoffs and back handsprings as well as other intermediate tumbling skills. Intermediate trampoline and double mini skills are also introduced such as back pullovers and front tucks. Intermediate 1 classes are for ages 6-8 years old. Intermediate 2 classes are for ages 9 years and up.
ADVANCED TRAMPOLINE AND TUMBLING
Ages 6 and up
Advanced classes focus on roundoff back handsprings, back tucks, layouts and twisting as well as other advanced tumbling skills. Advanced trampoline and double mini skills are also introduced such as back tucks and layouts. *students must have a back handspring unassisted to be in an advanced class.
Twinkle Star 3 and 4
Ages 5-8 years and up
These classes will begin classical barre work in conjunction with center movements that incorporate petite and grand allegro combinations. Tap at this level will build on intricate foundational steps, such as time-steps. Dancers may stay in Twinkle Star 3 or 4 for one or two years.
HIP HOP
Ages 6 years and up
Hip Hop classes are very rhythmic, allowing students to develop their musicality. Dancers will work on flexibility, progress in body isolations, and learn many combinations. Students will grow in their creativity as improvisation is often used in class. This is a very fun and trendy way for any dancer to advance in their training.
DANCE LEVELS 1-4
Ages 7 years and up
Level 1 is for dancers who are new to dance or for our student who are graduating from our Twinkle Star classes. This is also where dancers will be introduced to jazz dance!
Level 2 is for beginner to intermediate dancers who have completed at least one year of level 1 classes (or have been recommended by a teacher). In this level dancers will continue to expand their ballet and jazz knowledge as well as increase understanding of tap rhythm and timing.
Level 3 is for intermediate to advanced dancers who have taken at least 3 years of dance (or have been recommended by a teacher). Dancers will have mastered the basics and will begin working on advanced level skills in all genres. This is also when dancers are able to take a separate contemporary class!
Level 4 is for our advanced and competitive dancers. Dancers will have mastered beginner and intermediate level skills, and have a strong grasp of advanced level skills and musicality in all genres.
